This was the easiest way for me to publish what I have written over the years, since I run my business server here (www.purantech.com) this was a simple addition.
I am in my forties now, much of what you read here was written in my twenties but bits are from my teens and thirties. I live in Victoria, BC and I grew up in India. The writing is locale independent, not out of design but simply because that is how it came out.
The titles are just words that I added as I was putting them on a web page, they may have had nothing to do with the thought and intent when I wrote the poem.
Literature that influenced me early (in my teens) and indelibly was by Joseph Conrad (Heart of Darkness), George Orwell (1984), Fyodor Dostoyevsky (Brothers Kormozov), Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged), Richard Bach (Jonathan Livingston Seagull) among others but more notably.
Strangely literature from the Indian sub-continent was missing, I discovered it much later in life because of the biased remnants of English based education system in sections of (the then) Modern India. Although a regret at some level it, I can't say the formative years were lacking in terms of input. Meaningful literature generally supersedes all else to reflect on the human state.
